Business Development

Bob Pryor has twenty-five successful years’ experience developing defense and aerospace business for 3 major companies and 4 small businesses. This time includes eight years as Senior Integration Manager and Principal Business Development Analyst for a major defense contractor where he led Joint Force Projection Experimentation and managed a Cooperative Research & Development Agreement with a major intelligence agency. He has been a Program Manager for Motion Imagery solutions for a major defense contractor and Operations Manager for a major defense contractor in Hampton, VA. During Bob Pryor’s commercial sector work, he received his employer's NOVA Award and Individual Excellence Award (respectively, that organization's highest team and individual recognitions). 

Before his time in defense and aerospace business development, Bob Pryor completed a career in the U.S. Air Force, where he led 3 highly successful command and control organizations, including an Operational Test & Evaluation Squadron, and held key leadership positions at multiple command echelons. During his service, he won a Wing, Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award, Senior Officer Category; was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal 8 times; and received a Humanitarian Service Medal. He is a Senior Service School graduate. 

Bob Pryor has substantial experience in both overseas military operations and commercial DoD contractor experience.

For Northington Consulting, Bob Pryor is active in team building and new business partnerships. His specialties include Business Development/growth strategies such as request for proposal and customer analyses; performance capabilities matrix analysis; discriminating customer solutions development; contact plan development and deployment; staffing development and hiring strategies; customer engagement and relations; and hands-on tactical leadership and execution. He also leads proposal development, color team reviews, and capture disciplines. In these positions, his core competencies include Air Battle Management, Command & Control; Experimentation and Live, Virtual, Constructive Modeling & Simulation; as well as new business capture excellence.
