Responsibilities:

Manage all in-place features of and mature improvements to security functions, policies, procedures, and activities IAW implementing the NISPOM and ISLs to ensure a fully secure environment
Provide leadership with advice on achieving company goals while meeting NISPOM objectives
Advise management of security issues and schedule
Coordinate all non-routine activities and company-wide communication prior to action
Track and ensue accurate and timely completion of security taskings
Maintain a working relationship with prime/customer, sub, and DSS/DCSA security staff
Schedule, prepare agenda for, and host security update telecon/meetings for leadership
Perform scheduled internal audits on security records and files
Manage internal self-inspections and DSS/DCSA assessments
Write and/or provide input to scheduled Security Spotlight emails
Ensure personnel CACs are processed prior to expiration to ensure no down time/work stoppage
Process, track, and maintain personnel security clearances
Assist with bid and proposals including, but not limited to, preparation and maintenance of a written Security Plan
Prepare, distribute, and track DD254s accurately

Qualifications:

2+ Years’ experience as an Industrial Facility Security Officer, Security Manager, Assistant FSO, or other job title with equivalent experience
Familiarity with logging into and using Government systems such as ACCS, JPAS, DISS, NISS, NCAISS, & STEPP
Experience receiving and issuing DD254s
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and differentiate between critical/immediate, need-to-do, and nice-to-have incoming/outgoing taskings
Security is a crucial aspect of this company, yet the best candidate will understand the security function's role: supporting management objectives and the personnel who assist the clients. This requires reasonable flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense security clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance

Preferred:

Membership in NCMS
5+ Years’ experience as an Industrial Facility Security Officer, Security Manager, Assistant FSO, or other job title with equivalent experience
ISP Certification
Bachelor's degree or higher

Additional Information:

Approximately 10-15 hours per week involving in-office presence and at-home telecommuting
Infrequent local travel to Birmingham company headquarters and DSS/DCSA events
While this position is initially part time, it may grow based on overall company growth
