Responsibilities:

Provide defensive cyber operations subject matter expertise into exercise planning and execution support for the Air Force client throughout the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC).

Plan, coordinate, and de-conflict throughout the JELC within the Air Force, other cyber services, inter-agencies, and regional and functional combatant commands as necessary.

Provide cyber support, training objectives, scenario, and coordination integration within Air Force client organization and with higher commands and supported combatant commands.

Coordination of Live Fire with the JIOR and integration with LVC training.

Participate in exercise planning conferences to support planning activities.

During execution, provide white cell execution operations and process expertise to ensure cyber integration and de-confliction within the cyber domain with all other cyber equities, and provide cyber integration into all necessary kinetic and non-kinetic warfighting domains.

Initiate and maintain liaison with external Cyber/Network Operations organizations, such as USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, USAF and other service components, AFSPC, ACC/24th AF (AFCYBER) and DMOC-Cyber.

Provide realistic inputs to the exercise training audience and be available to answer RFIs on TTPs or equipment managed by the Cyber organization.

Provide Subject matter expertise as the Air Force moves to Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) initiatives.

Must also be able to assist in Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) support when needed.

Provide exercise planning, coordination and execution support for exercises and supported l and combatant command exercises. These include but are not limited to, RED FLAG, BLUE FLAG, VIRTUAL FLAG, CYBER FLAG, WFX, MEFEX, PACIFIC SENTRY, AUSTERE CHALLENGE, JUNIPER COBRA, VIGILANT SHIELD, ORB, and others.

Required:

This is predominately a planner position focused in the area of cyber security integration into military exercises. Therefore, 5 years or more military exercise planning experience is a must.

BA or BS in a Computer Science degree field.

Proven Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) of a Senior Analyst and Technical Expert in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) with five (5) years of demonstrated experience in cyber operations (offensive, defensive, cyber for others and/or cyber for exercises.)

Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense security clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance
Desired:
-
Master’s degree in a related field.

Prior experience with USAF/Joint Cyber Operations and Exercise Planning.

DoD Directive 8570.1M IAT-III certified, CERTIFIED ETHICAL HACKER (CEH), and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.

Experience working with the JIOR.
-
Moderate travel will be required.
