Responsibilities:

  • Perform cyber security assessments of U.S. military installations in CONUS and overseas.

  • Serve as a part of a larger cyber security task force team with other technical experts.

  • Evaluate Federal installations for cyber security vulnerabilities, and adherence to proper information assurance procedures and protocols.

  • Identify deviations from proper information protection procedures and guidelines.

  • Prepare detail reports on these evaluations and identified discrepancies and deviations.

  • Recommend corrective action to address, and correct or minimize identified vulnerabilities.

  • May provide training as necessary to military and civilian personnel addressing cyber threat vulnerabilities, and use of appropriate protective measures.

  • Review and remain knowledgeable on current trends in cyber security threats, technologies, and protection techniques in the military, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications:​

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or information systems management and 5-8 years experience, or Master’s degree in same area with four years experience.

  • Level III certification in accordance with DOD Manual 8570.01-M.

  • Three (3) years expertise supporting assessments of Information Assurance (IA), Interoperability (IOP), and Mission Assurance (MA) including Information Systems utilized during Combatant Command and Army exercises.

  • Three (3) years of expertise within the last ten years  in operational test & evaluation methods, Joint/Army military training exercise planning process, information systems & network security and providing analytical input to the operational assessments of IA, IOP, and MA of DOD organizations and their fielded Information Systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) development; joint training exercise event synchronization; preparing IA, IOP, and MA assessment plans, assessment reports and related briefings.

  • Position requires excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense security clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance
