Responsibilities:
-
Plan and execute Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) operations within the United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) area of responsibility (AOR).

Support the operational and technical aspects of ground-based air defense (GBAD) integration into Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) supported scenarios in order to exercise and validate planned air defense designs, concepts and procedures.

Assist in development plans to protect and defense against theater missile attack through an appropriate integrated and coordinated mix of mutually supporting measures of passive defense, active defense, and attack operations with supporting command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence in concert with the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and Military Decision Making Process (MDMP).

Integrate political, military, economic, social information, and infrastructure (PMESII) factors influencing military and political strategy, the planning and execution of military operations, and the impact of domestic and foreign policy on missile defense integration within the USAFE AOR into thorough LVC scenario development and operational planning.

Leverage M&S exercises to coordinate the integration of ground-based air defense design and development.

Duties also include: Provide IAMD operational planning input and provide research products in support of the Joint Lessons Learned (JLL) data bases for future LVC experimental and exercise development; utilize JLL in support of operations orders development and generates/coordinates input based on exercise observations.
Qualifications:
Required –
Army Patriot weapon system background.
Reconfigurable Table Top Trainers simulator instructor experience.
3+ years of experience as Patriot Air Defense Fire Control Officer; Battlefield Coordination Detachment (BCD) Air Defense (AD) LNO.
Outstanding organizational and communications skills, and attention to detail.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense security clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance
Preferred –
Familiarity with European Theater of Operations (ETO) IAMD Operation Plans; Patriot and THAAD weapon systems capabilities and limitations; IAMD TTPs, IAMD Doctrine.
Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officer (ADAFCO) experience
Experience as, BCD AD LNO in a Combat AOC.
Experience with LVC exercises.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute ETO–wide readiness verification exercises.
